| The Choice Utility Management Company for Marcellus Shale Play |
November 8th, 2011
|
 |
Marcellus Shale project surveyors working to find drilling locations to extract natural gas have turned to PULS INC. (Private Utility Locating Services) to help them find unmarked buried utilities.
Using Ground Penetrating Radar, technicians from PULS Inc. are locating buried pipe lines, well heads and other unmarked utilities that fall outside of the PA One Call system prior to Seismic Surveys.
"PULS Inc. is providing a vital service to the contractors working to extract natural gas. We are verifying the location of buried utilities particularly unmarked pipelines that have been in use since the 1920's and '30's, before a seismic survey is conducted." states Joseph Geraghty, President of PULS Inc.
He continues, "This service is vital to maintaining the structural integrity of these pipelines and other buried utilities, and by doing so, PULS Inc. has become the go-to Utility Asset Management resource for companies working on the Marcellus Shale project."
