Description: PULS was contracted by a surveying firm to mark all utilities within a 100' corridor. Crews worked closely with the client and the base staff to mark and map water, steam, base communications (fiber optics), primary and secondary electric and force mains that paralleled and crossed the proposed construction. PULS notified the client of previously unknown 14” AC water main, which was in direct conflict with the purposed work. This data was uncovered by a PULS utility research technician after a review of old site plans. Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) was used to scan and sweep the corridor for non-metallic utility lines not shown on record after a grid pattern, electromagnetic sweep had been completed. The utilities were surveyed and delivered to the client in an AutoCAD format.
